The Birth Trauma Association is a small charity supporting women with PTSD after birth, and we wanted a video of women talking about the impact of a traumatic birth to use for publicity and education purposes. We needed a film-maker who would make a professional, polished video but who also understood that filming might be distressing for the women involved. David and his Production Zone colleagues delivered on all counts. David conducted the interviews with empathy and kindness, and as a result the women told their stories very eloquently. The edited version showed how well The Production Zone understood the subject - the stories just flowed. We were completely bowled over by the professionalism of the final result, and since releasing it for our Awareness Week have received lots of compliments from people who have told us how powerful it is. We recommend The Production Zone very highly indeed.
St Gemma's Hospice recently worked on a project with David and his team to produce a promotional DVD for the Hospice. David was a pleasure to work with from start to end. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable and creative. From the initial planning meetings through to the finished product, he gave great advice and support and worked with sensitivity and compassion when dealing with difficult subjects. We are delighted with our finished DVD. Excellent work at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend David and The Production Zone for your project.
I have had the pleasure of working with David Felber on two films..... He was the force behind both of them. A man with vision and determination. Dedicated and with a sense of purpose he led the team well both as a producer and a director.... The second film took place mostly in Africa in difficult circumstances since we were filming with wild animals... Therefore situations no matter how well rehearsed were often risky and outcomes not guaranteed... He always had a sense of humour and knew what he wanted... And nearly always got it, though sometimes not immediately.... He was always a pleasure to work with...I admired his tenacity enthusiasm and leadership...It was a pleasure working with and for him...
David and his team have done a brilliant job in working with the Bone Cancer Research Trust and our community of patients to create a series of short videos designed to support people affected by bone cancer. We are delighted with the quality of the final 'products', and their friendly, empathetic approach meant that the whole project was handled sensitively throughout - from planning, to filming, to editing.
If you have needs for video production in the UK, I recommend you check out the Production Zone, David Felber’s agency. Completed 18 videos with them last summer and well worth it!
I’m not sure where to start but I watched this last night, it’s absolutely brilliant, and brought tears to my eyes, which isn’t an easy thing to do. It looks so polished and I love how you have used the images at the beginning and also the slow shots of all the women. Melissa’s voice works so well and everything flows seamlessly. My colleague text me last night and also expressed how amazing and powerful it was. Thank you so much.
Really enjoyed working with yourself and everyone involved. Thank you for your hard work in making sure the project was completed on time and within budget. I will be recommending your services to anyone I hear that is looking to produce anything similar to the project we have just worked on.
When we decided to make a customer case study video we were a bit daunted by the process but working with David and his team was great as they helped guide us through the process from beginning to end. The aim was to have a short, professional video showcasing our IT product in action at one of our customer sites. When it came to the day of filming the team were extremely professional in dealing with our customers and we are delighted with the end result.
Garbutt & Elliott (accountants and business advisors based in Leeds and York) invited The Production Zone to produce a video on inward investment to the UK in Mandarin and English. Working with two interns from The University of York David advised us on the script and helped us with the planning of the video. Everything was shot and edited over two days and the finished video was shown to fellow professionals from around the world at a business summit in Beijing. It is now on our website, YouTube and YouKu in China. David’s personal and professional approach meant that we were able to complete this project successfully in a very short timescale and we were delighted with the result. Following this David also produced an extremely funny out takes video, which was shown at our staff conference. It was a pleasure to work with David and we have already recommended The Production Zone to other contacts and clients.
I have just finished working with David from The Production Zone on a series of talking heads to showcase Geography at the University of Leeds. David is fantastic to work with, great fun, very dedicated to ensuring his work matches client expectations (and mine are high!) and professional at all times. I would highly recommend David and his team and what's more you get some top wine recommendations thrown in for free :-)
We asked The Production Zone to work with us to produce a high quality video showcasing the work behind the inclusion of athletes with Intellectual Disabilities back into the Paralympics and they succeeded on all fronts. They are an excellent team to work with, showing a real enthusiasm, sensitivity and interest in the project, but also bringing to it a level of expertise and technical skill to create a fantastic video.
I have worked with David and the team at Production Zone on the filming and production for our Virtual Experience site and would not hesitate in recommending them. Many of the people involved in the project were not experienced in front of the camera, but David made them feel comfortable and always produced a great result. We have found them flexible, passionate and professional and they will always go the extra mile to over deliver on a project. They are great people to work with.
The Production Zone produced a promotional school video for Leeds Languages. In all dealings from initial briefing, through the creative process, down to delivery of the finished product we found David and his team an absolute pleasure to work with. The finished video can be seen on our website - www.leedslanguages.co.uk - so judge for yourself! Feedback to us on the video has been 100% positive, so I would have no hesitation in recommending the Production Zone to anyone.
David Felber worked collaboratively with a team of researchers at the University of Leeds/The Infirmary at Leeds to produce a 32 minute film entitled ‘Understanding Angioplasty’. David was completely reliable and worked to a high professional standard at all times. He coordinated the work in an effective way and worked well with all team members. David organised filming in a variety of settings both public (Park, shop, city centre, hospital ward) and private (Home setting) and in doing so overcame a range of challenges. David was always able to get the best performance from participants by putting them at ease. He produced a polished and professional end product that is currently used as part of health service provision in Leeds. I would certainly recommend his services.
I have worked with David and the team at The Production Zone on producing a short film of testimonials from our health club members which has been widely received by both potential members and the industry. All agree that this quality film is an asset to our website and a unique selling tool to encourage members to sample the club. They managed the production with sensitivity and professionalism and achieved, with ease, the desired effect – a non elitist approach to leisure with an eclectic mix of members taking ownership and pride in their club. So thank you David, and all the team, for your efforts and for following our brief to a tee!
The Production Zone have produced a teaching and learning video for us. This involved filming actual lessons showing different aspects of Assessment for Learning. The team were thoroughly professional from beginning to end and we have a quality resource which has been used across North Yorkshire as a training tool for experienced teachers to NQTs. Partner schools in Australia have also used it as part of their ongoing professional development. I would certainly use the team again & happily recommend them to anyone.
We recently commissioned David to produce a DVD for us and he was a joy to work with. Being totally new to this area we were a little apprehensive at first however, David soon provided us with the guidance and expertise required. The result of our collaboration exceeded our expectations and we quickly returned to David with another filming project.
I would like to take this opportunity to say how grateful we are for the work you did in producing the Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) DVD’s for the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre. We had very particular need that we wanted to achieve. This was to produce a film of the delivery of our standardised Introduction to GCP course. Local facilitators will use this film across the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Networks. It was clear, right from the start that you listened to us and were able to produce exactly what we were looking for. You and your team showed tremendous flexibility both on the day of filming and in modifying the materials. The end result was a credit to your professional approach and your eye for detail. The DVD’s that you produced were tailored to our needs and excelled our original expectations. Your professional and courteous approach was matched by the quality of your materials. We have no hesitation in recommending anyone to work with The Production Zone and look forward to working with you again.
David was a fantastic Producer and a joy to work with on You, Me and Hep C. I cannot recommend him highly enough. The DVD has been exceptionally well received as a training tool in Her Majesty’s Prisons. Its specialist educational content and tailored style led it to be nominated for an award at the British Universities Film & Video Council’s Learning on Screen Awards. The finished product is testament to David’s incredible dedication.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for making our video, 'Understanding Neuropathic Pain'. I have been impressed not only by your wide range of technical skills and your willingness to capture exactly what we were looking for but also your skills in dealing with people not used to being filmed. It has been fascinating to see the entire process involved, and your advice on the structure of the video, the need for a voiceover, the choice of music, cover design and all the many different aspects of producing a DVD have all been extremely valuable. Your perfectionism in wanting to meet our requirements has ensured that the end product is exactly what we were hoping for. During the time spent making this film, I have appreciated your willingness to be flexible, at the same time as meeting those all-important deadlines! I have really enjoyed working with you and hope that we will have further opportunities to work together.
Just a note to say thank you so much to you and your team for the fantastic job that you did on the DVD for us. The directors from 42 other Universities were extremely impressed in the quality of the film and in the fact that you managed to film, edit and produce in a day. Personally for me your professionalism, kindness and enthusiasm for the idea shone out it was a great pleasure to work with you. We really look forward to working with you again on future projects.
Just wanted to say thanks to you and the team for all the work you did on our promotional videos for the Business School. You were a pleasure to work with and your advice, enthusiasm, flexibility and determination to deliver work to the highest quality was much appreciated and reflected in the final product. We are really pleased with the videos and have enjoyed being part of the whole process of putting them together. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
We are thrilled with the new film as it really does bring METALUBE to life. It is often challenging to get across our true professional and quality approach to our international clients. With this latest tool, they can now see for themselves our commitment to providing the best possible products and services.
The Macmillan Cancer Improvement Partnership in Manchester has commissioned a number of videos as part of its communications work to help its audiences understand the need for its cancer system re-design programme.
Individual cancer patients and carers were featured in the films produced by David Felber at The Production Zone. Their stories highlighted the intense personal difficulties that people affected by cancer can experience and were particularly useful in illustrating the need for better communication between care organisations; improved staff training; earlier diagnosis; better coordination of diagnostic testing, treatment and palliative care; as well as improved post-treatment support.
These are all areas that MCIP’s partner organisations (Macmillan Cancer Support, NHS commissioners, Manchester hospitals; people affected by cancer; Manchester City Council and St Ann’s Hospice) are aware require re-designing, but it is only through listening to people like those featured in the case study films that we are able to re-shape the system to fit the patients’ and carers’ needs.
David Felber intuitively understood the brief and produced and edited impactful films with great sensitivity and to a high quality.
